FAQ
All About Waxed Linen
What is waxed linen?
Linen is a textile made from the fibers of the flax plant. Linen is very strong and absorbent, and dries faster than cotton. Because of these properties, linen is comfortable to wear in hot weather and is valued for use in garments. My linen has a specialty waxed waterproof coating adding to its durability.
Do you wax the linen yourself?
No, I buy my linen pre-waxed in spools.
Where did you get this idea?
I studied silversmithing at OCAD. My linen was an experimental approach to a new material and I developed my own unique style.
Can I get them wet?
Yes! Absolutely! The linen will just increase in softness as you wear it.
Do you do repairs?
Yes! Just mail me your piece and I will happily repair of replace it. My line is rugged, so please wear them!
